Dr. Kevin S. Ballard
Dr. Ballard was born and raised in Texas, but has enjoyed living in the Midwest for the past twenty years. His initial pursuit in audiology was in research, but he discovered he liked clinical work and has been in practice for twenty-one years. He worked at Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for nine years before moving to Quincy in 1999 and was with McIntee ENT Center prior to organizing Quincy Audiology. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, his Master of Arts degree from the University of North Texas and his Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology (now Salus University). Dr. Ballard is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is a member of the Illinois Academy of Audiology.
When he isn’t in the clinic, Dr. Ballard enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, sailing at Mark Twain Lake and finding good venues for food, music, and fine arts. He’s also always looking for a good book to read.
Dr. Mandy Wand
Dr. Mandy Wand was born and raised in Quincy, Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University in Communicative Disorders. Dr. Wand completed her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Illinois State University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is a licensed audiologist in the state of Illinois. Dr. Wand enjoys performing diagnostic testing and fitting amplification. Her goal is to offer solutions to provide her patients with a better quality of life. Aside from her professional commitments, she enjoys spending time with her family and exercising.
Mandy Cole worked for Dr. Ballard for 5 years at McIntee ENT Center and moved with him to Quincy Audiology when he decided to open his own practice. She lives in Canton, MO with her husband and 3 year old daughter, Claire. When she isn’t taking care of clinic management, she enjoys spending time with her husband, and daughter, and she looks forward to bowling on Wednesday nights with her friends.
Luan previously worked with Dr. Ballard at McIntee ENT center. She has been working at Quincy Audiology for 2 years. Luan is a Certified Medical Assistant and has 15 years management experience. She lives in Golden, Illinois. She has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, golfing and bowling.
Roberta worked at Leo’s Hearing Aids for 18 years before joining Quincy audiology in March 2014. Roberta trained with Audina in Longwood, FL. Roberta resides in Loraine, IL with her husband and has 5 childrren and 6 grandchildren Roberta enjoys spending time with her family.
Sandra Kay Hoots “Sandy”
Sandy Hoots worked for Dr. Moss two years prior to the merger of Moss Hearing Center and Quincy Audiology. Sandy was born in Quincy but lived out of the area for many years, returning to Quincy five years ago from Lake of the Ozarks. She has twenty years of banking experience plus experience in jewelry sales. Patients will find her friendly personality makes for a pleasant visit to our office.
Sandy has two grown daughters and recently celebrated the birth of her first Great Granddaughter, who along with her daughter and granddaughter, share Sandy’s middle name of Kay. Personal interests include family time, antiques and reading.
